#WAWUA – New episodes from ALMA’s animated series
Can you imagine learning about the mysteries of the Universe through attractive animations?
With #WAWUA (Why Astronomers Want to Use ALMA) it is possible! In short episodes, which last two minutes each, this animated series explains how ALMA uses 66 antennas as though they were one single antenna, how it sees the invisible and captures the presence of complex molecules in far away interstellar clouds to discover our cosmic origins in the most remote corners of the Cosmos.
Six new episodes join this series created by astronomers and workers from our observatory. These new animations explain gravitational lenses, how we measure the distance of distant objects, the formation of planetary systems, the first image of a black hole and collaboration as a global challenge, among other topics.
