Guided tours with astronomers during last weekend of the ALMA exhibit

Don’t miss the last chance to see the exhibit “ALMA, in search of our cosmic origins,” which has been open to the public free of charge since October and ends on January 31, 2016 in Espacio Fundación Telefónica (Av. Providencia 127, Santiago). ALMA astronomers Mónica Rubio and Laura Gómez will give guided tours this Saturday, January 30, to people who sign up in advance. The guided tour options are the following:
- Saturday, January 30 from 11 am to 1 pm with Laura Gómez, Mexican astronomer and PhD from Germany, who has researched the physical and chemical properties of the formation of massive stars.
- Saturday, January 30, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with astronomer Mónica Rubio, PhD in Astrophysics and Space Techniques from the University of Paris, professor of the Astronomy Department at the University of Chile, and former director of the CONICYT Astronomy Program until 2014.
Both astronomers will be sharing all of their knowledge and responding to visitors’ questions in the exhibit’s Discoveries room. Close to 35 thousand people have already visited the exhibit! Come with your family and friends this weekend before it closes!
